"...my aesthetic, in the fine art work, references cultural and ecological themes or often I am simply compelled to re-create and explore narratives suggested by observed textures. This a trick of the eye called pareidolia; the human tendency to seek patterns in random information, in my case often crumbling stained walls"

Both approaches result in images that belie the origins of the final conception.

PEOPLE and PORTRAITS

colour

The challenge for a portrait and people photographer, once all the technical aspects are hard wired, is all about capturing a person's personality, a narrative extrapolated into a single image, flattering or otherwise depending on the brief and intention.

'Hugh had an uncanny sense of what I wanted; there is such elegance in his work. Fabulous, so cool.'

Isabel While, Proprietor, Stylist.
